NutmegSpiced’s Caribbean Fruit Cake is a rich, moist Caribbean-style fruit cake inspired by traditional British fruit cake, reimagined with bold island flavour and handcrafted techniques.
Made with fermented and marinated fruits, premium rums and wines, warm spices, and a carefully balanced fruit-to-cake ratio, this cake delivers a lighter, softer texture than traditional Black Rum Cake while still offering deep flavour and richness in every slice. Unlike Black Rum Cake, this version contains no browning or caramel sauce, allowing the natural flavour of the fruits, butter, spices, and rum-soaked ingredients to shine through.
The result is a beautifully balanced sponge-pound style fruit cake that feels luxurious, comforting, and less dense while still carrying the signature warmth of Caribbean baking traditions. Perfect for celebrations, gifting, holidays, or enjoying with tea or coffee.
Each cake is baked in small batches using NutmegSpiced’s original recipe development process and premium ingredients for exceptional flavour and texture.
Ingredients include alcohol-infused fruit puree (citrus peel, currants, prunes, raisins, cherries), flour, butter, eggs, sugar, spices, flavouring, rum, and wine.
Available in 6” and 9” sizes.
Storage Instructions:
Wrap tightly and store in an airtight container at cool room temperature for up to 1 month. Can also be frozen for longer storage.
